Design Museum Boston STUDIO @ WIT returns to create an exhibit for this years IDSA conference in Boston, MA. Sam and Derek kicked off the project by introducing the team to some of the Award Winners that will be featured for the IDEA (International Design Excellence Award). The team has begun the 15-week project of creating an exhibit to showcase the Gold and Silver medal winners for the Award. Today the team brainstormed possible themes for the exhibit. The brainstorm began by with short presentation from Nick Dunleavy and Joe Bradford about how they attacked last years task of creating the “RETAIL” exhibit for the Prudential Center. We are all very eager to see the progress that is to come in the following weeks and the project develops.

We’re well into 2012, the year marked as “Hong Kong Design Year” which consists of various design-related activities and promotions throughout the city, focusing on the theme “A City Driven By Design”.
“2012 Hong Kong Design Year (HKDY) is a year long programme of signature events and celebration activities to propel the development of Hong Kong as a creative city.” Much inline with our goals here at Design Museum Boston to bring design to public awareness, Hong Kong promotes design as a way to enhance the competitiveness of business and improving quality of life.

Much of the focus of companies like PatientsLikeMe and WellDoc has to do with disseminating information--whether it's educating patients about their disease or providing data about patients to…

It was a whirlwind few days for the Design Museum Boston team at this year's AD 20/21 show, which had EVERYTHING for sale from modern to contemporary fine art, photography, jewelry, vintage and contemporary studio furniture, decorative arts, sculpture, fine prints, drawings and more. It was like being a kid in a very expensive, one-of-a-kind candy store.
