
I'm very excited to announce
Creative Capital: Designed in Boston, our inaugural exhibit! It opens to the public on October 28, 2010 in Boston's City Hall and will be open for 12 months. The exhibit celebrates the contributions of some of Boston's best designers. From the
press release:
"Design has the power to make everyday lives more comfortable, more efficient, more exciting, and more rewarding. Notice the public park where you eat lunch? The lobby you pass through on your way to work? The kitchen tools you use every day? Great design at your service, created in Boston."
Exhibited works represent a broad cross-section of Boston's top design industries. Project include:
- Hill Holliday's Visit the Pin Advertising Campaign for the City of Boston
- Office dA's Macallen Building in South Boston
- Fashion created by Maya Luz
- Carol R. Johnson Associates' landscape architecture work on the Fresh Pond Reservation in Cambridge
- Leers Weinzapfel Associates' urban design work on the Gateway Complex at UPenn
- Korn Design's comprehensive branding of the Boston Ballet
- (ELEVEN)'s work for OXO
- CBT Architects renovation of the One Post Office Square lobby
- Proverb's Choosing to Participate exhibit
The exhibition is free and open to the public. It is located on the 9th floor of Boston City Hall and, starting October 28, open weekdays between the hours of 9am and 5pm. We hope you'll visit the exhibit and share your thoughts.
