I don't know about you, but I'm obsessed with getting interesting information via email. Sure, it means I may wake up to 30 new messages in my inbox (but I might really NEED $75 worth of filet mignon!) but I'm far too lazy to scour the internet for the newest, coolest, and of course most relevant information and products. So enter the Lexington MA based Daily Grommet.
Besides having a kicking name and website (what can I say, I'm a graphic designer) they also have a killer story which you can read all about here. A company after our own hearts, they're dedicated to "creating a place for people who want their purchases to have meaning -- to support what matters most to them: whether it's technical innovation, green or social enterprises, the creation of jobs, domestic manufacturing, or the preservation of craft." PLUS, did I mention, that the founder, Jules Pieri, is both a graphic designer AND an industrial designer? So you know that all of the products are super awesome, interwebs tested and designer approved.
So check it out, shop around, and make your purchase matter. When you support good design, we all win.
