This week at WIT, the DMB studio class really kicked into high gear. All of the teams have been progressing by leaps and bounds as deadlines approach fast and get left in the dust as we progress to our final goal of giving the IDSA/IDEA an exhibition they'll never forget. This week saw the site scouting team researching the site at the Westin Waterfront exhibition hall that we will be filling with our exhibit, a scale model was made and is being utilized to help us plan everything out perfectly. The branding and graphics team has been busy narrowing down choices for our very own logo for us to slap on everything we produce. Having a logo is not only important for branding reasons and letting the public know what the exhibit is all about, as well as letting people know what the name of the exhibit is, but its also important for us as a symbol to rally behind, a common flag that we can fly together as a team.
Meanwhile, the fundraising and copywriting teams have been busy creating pamphlets and ledgers explaining what we're doing to potential investors, as well as producing a video to be featured on Kickstarter to help raise the money we need to get the exhibit into production, the launch date for this website is early next week.
Most importantly, we've decided upon a theme and title for our exhibit... drum roll, please.
Life Impacted.
Catchy right? I know!
We feel that this title embodies everything we want to present to the visitors of our exhibit, everyones life is impacted every single day an innumerable amount of times by products and ideas that have come from the design world, and each of the IDSA winners embodies this idea even further.
So, thats it for this week, stay tuned and get excited because theres a whole lot more coming your way from WIT and Design Museum Boston!
