Design Museum Boston X WIT for IDSA: Week 3

      After a beautiful Memorial Day weekend, the team regrouped to present what exhibit each person had visited and what they had taken from it to bring to our project. Exhibits featured at the Museum of Fine Arts, MIT Museum, Boston Science Museum and RISD Museums were shown featuring very well designed and planned out spaces.  Surprisingly, some of the premier museums had exhibits lacking good design.  All of the exhibits featured have provided inspiration as well as set a standard for what the team will create.  By pulling ideas from successful exhibits and avoiding what we felt was lacking in others, we hope to surpass or match the quality and interest these high end museums have to offer.

      Today the team worked to finalize the thesis to properly represent what Design Museum Boston and WIT plan to create and accomplish for the IDSA conference. In accordance with the thesis, we created a title to represent the thesis as well as the theme of the exhibit as a whole.  It was challenging to envelope our ideas and message into a short and simple title, but we can now work on creating an exhibition to reflect that title and convey our message.
