Design Museum Boston Meeting Minutes Sat 1.30.10
General Update for current projects
Discussed the recent opportunities for gallery space. Many interesting options, stay tuned for design briefs around each space.
Launch Party Planning
-Date & Venue confirmed March 16th at West End Johnny's
-Name of the event decided: Prepare for Launch
-Wentworth ID department has agreed to loan pedestals for donation and sign-up kiosks.
-WEJ has TVs at the bar; these can be used for live SMS and Tweet updates. Movie loop for sponsors will also be shown. Live feed should be streamed to internet for virtual visitors.
-Potential opportunity to exhibit local design work in the space.
-Need student volunteers for event to manage kiosks and silent auction.
-Invites for party, graphic and copy are in process.
Ning and DMB sites
-DMB site still needs graphic layout; Sam dictates a vision for displaying the progress of projects.
-Ning site still needs instructional video so our members can begin actively blogging.
Main site (designmuseumboston.org) is informational and gateway for visitors to learn about exhibits on view and programs offered.
-The Design Museum Boston vision will feature prominently on the designmuseumboston.org site
